Garment printing with again & again | 27th November 2021
Through the art of Silk-Screen Printing this workshop will show you how we can turn that unloved garment into your favourite go to piece.
Again & Again is a slow, eco-conscious, female owned, up and coming fashion brand based in Peckham. They take ready made garments and rejuvenate them through the art of silk-screen printing to create unique and fashionable items. With over 10 years professional experience within the industry, they wanted to create affordable collections without production lines, creating minimal waste for our environment.
The day will start with a small introduction about our brand, how we work and a brief description into silk screen printing.
You will then be able to choose one of our statement prints from our latest collection to print onto your chosen garment! You will be shown how to mix up a print paste and can choose any colour you wish. You will also be taught the differences between pastes and how they can work differently on different garments. Finally your garment will be fixed and you will be given individual care instructions before you go.
You will leave with the knowledge of garment up-cycling through silk screen printing and of course with a fantastic and unique item of clothing that you will want to wear again and again!
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels so if you are a confident printer or even a beginner everyone is welcome! Please be sure to bring an apron or a spare change of clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
General Admission is for your place in the workshop only.
GARMENTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE SO YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN ITEM TO PRINT ON.**
** Please note that light coloured or white items work the best. Our process only allows a darker colour to be printed onto your item so bare that in mind when choosing your garment. Due to capacity we can only print on ONE item per person.
There will be a small collection of plain garments available to purchase on the day however it will be limited so to avoid any disappointment please bring your own garment you would like to print.
If you are unsure then please feel free to send us an email with any questions.
All other materials are included.
The class will run from 10am – 4pm with a break for lunch, (not provided) a great opportunity to sample one of the many food kiosks located on levels 5 and 6 of the building.
You will also have the opportunity to browse through our latest collection in our private studio and try on anything you might like.
Cancellation Policy: We are running workshops on a much smaller scale and whilst we appreciate Covid may stop you from coming unfortunately our 10 day cancellation policy still remains. Our workshops run to support the print studio and we can’t afford to have empty spaces within these workshops. Currently within 10 days of the workshop we cannot refund or move dates for any cancellations made due to personal reasons or covid. I hope you can understand this as being a small business we would hate to stop running workshops due to them not being full. If you don’t feel this policy works for you we would ask to wait and book in the future when we can be more flexible
